| I was born in Plattsburgh and grew up in Altona with my parents, Walter & Julia, and my brother and sister. I went to Northern Adirondack Central School where I took business courses and was intrigued by the accounting class. Accounting seemed to come naturally to me, and I decided to pursue it in college. I graduated with high honors, a Regents diploma, and was accepted at Plattsburgh State University. During my years at PSU, I was on the Dean’s List every semester, and received numerous honors and awards. I did an internship for two tax seasons, which was a valuable experience and proved to me how important it is to continually learn. Working all through my college career helped me to gain a “real world” understanding and remind me how important it was to do well in college. I graduated in December 2004 at the top of the accounting majors and second overall in the School of Business and Economics with Summa Cum Laude honors. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business, with an Associate degree in Business Analysis. Prior to graduation I realized a potential job opportunity was no longer open to me, and since I wanted to stay local, I opened the phone book. This method isn’t the recommended way of finding an environment to build your career, but fortunately it worked out great for me. Alex responded to my call and it just so happened he had an opening. I started working in January 2005 and am looking forward to conquering the CPA Exam.
