At a young age , I entered the accounting field as a bookkeeper for a small motel and diner. Eventually moving into the restaurant business for a number of years. Upon graduation from SUNY Plattsburgh in May of 1995, I venture to Wilmington, North Carolina to become a beeswax candle manufacturer. There I learned more about business than one could possible publish in a textbook. In October, I returned from Carolina determined to complete the requirements for my CPA license. In September 2001 I became a licensed CPA. To add to my experiences, I was an adjunct teacher at SUNY Plattsburgh during the Spring 1999 semester. In the Fall 1999, I taught a Accounting for Nonfinancial Managers, a course offered through Lifelong Learning. I have been with the firm since 1997. During this period, I have gained experience in many sectors of the accounting world including taxation, auditing, financial statements, financing and dealing with the infamous IRS. |
