I started in the accounting field at the very bottom. I cleaned the firms office when I was twelve years old. When I turned fourteen I started photocopying income tax returns and assembled them for filing. After taking bookkeeping and business law in high school, I worked summers, starting at age sixteen, with my father/mentor as my boss. He immediately started grooming me to lead the firm. He gave me the toughest, most complicated jobs and always had time to explain in detail the whys and wherefores. At high school graduation from Mount Assumption Institute, I was awarded the business award as the senior with the highest grades in business classes (I finished bookkeeping with a 99% average and I scored 96% on the New York State regents examination on business law.). I was also awarded a full four-year scholarship to college for my score on the New York State regents scholarship examination. After high school I spent the next seven years in college earning two bachelors and one associate degree. I have a B.S. in Business Management from Plattsburgh State and also a B.S. in Resources Management from Syracuse University. After passing the entire uniform CPA examination on the first try, I was licensed by New York State as a Certified Public Accountant in 1979. The same year I was admitted to the firm as a partner. I have remained with the firm since that date and I am approaching my thirty-third year anniversary. Starting in 1996 I became a FINRA (formerly NASD) licensed registered representative and registered investment advisor having successfully completing the series 6,7,63 and 65 examinations. In 1997 I studied for and received my New York State Insurance Agents license for life, accident, and health insurance. To return a little of what has been given to me I volunteer on the Whiteface Mountain Ski Patrol, having served for twenty-two years. I also volunteer by serving on the Corporation board of the CVPH Medical Center. I am a member of the pension committee. In 2007, I was appointed Treasurer of the Cumberland Head Fire District. In May 2009, I was elected to be the Eastern Division Treasurer of the National Ski Patrol System, Incorporated. The Eastern Division includes ski patrols located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and part of Maryland and West Virginia.
